Dacinae SystematicsSystematics of Dacinae has been questioned due to the remarkable number of species and the limited number of morphological characters that separate species within this sub-family. To clear up taxonomy, reconstruct historical biogeography and determine shifts in diversification rates, we sequenced mitochondrial and nuclear genes to generate phylogenetic hypotheses on the relationships between species/groups. We then use this robust phylogenetic framework for comparative phylogenetic analysis.
